We are pleased to welcome Mr. Shinji Okazaki, a former representative of Japan, as the ambassador for this tournament.

[ ambassador message ]

I am Shinji Okazaki, and I am honored to be appointed as the ambassador for the "SHIMANAMI FUTURE CUP." I am truly delighted to take on this role for this tournament.

I hope that the children coming to Japan from overseas will not only experience international exchange through football, but also encounter the people and culture of Fukuyama city, and be inspired by the local industry and landscape, and absorb a lot of things. I am sure this will be an invaluable time for the children.

For the local children, I hope they take pride and joy in having such a wonderful space like Tsuneishi Field in their community, and in being able to play football in a peaceful and supportive environment.

The initiative to not only promote football and develop players in the Setouchi region but also contribute to the community through international exchange via sports is truly remarkable. While many may have the desire to contribute to their communities, turning that intention into meaningful action is not always easy.

I believe that urban development through sport, led by the Fukuyama City Sports Association, has created an essential place for the children who will shape the future of this region.

As for myself, I want to be inspired by the children's hard work through the tournament. I hope that future representatives of Japan and players who will shine on the global stage will emerge from among these children. and I would like to work together with them to make the tournament a success.
